Download Leaflet The Forest Feast Fairtrade range was launched after our Managing Director, Michael Hall, visited the PREDA organisation and children’s home in the Philippines. Our Fairtrade range has been hugely popular to date and continues to grow. For every container of product that is shipped from the Philippines a contribution goes directly to the PREDA charity and a fair price is paid to the growers. At simplest, this means the more Fair Trade products we sell, the greater the contribution to PREDA.

Fair Trade: The PREDA/Forest Feast Partnership
The PREDA foundation, based in Olangapo City in the Philippines is a three times Nobel Peace Prize Nominated Charitable Organisation. PREDA is a pioneer in establishing Fair Trade in the Philippines and guarantees growers a fair price, whereby helping to create economic stability. PREDA was founded in 1974 by Irish Columban Father Shay Cullen and Alex and Merly Hermoso. PREDA work to keep Filipino children off the streets, away from child prostitution and out of jail. Today, as many as 20,000 Filipino children as young as nine years old are currently held as adult prisoners in Filipino jails. PREDA runs a children’s home to protect those children who have been fortunate enough to be rescued. |
